Had my wedding at the beautiful William Penn Inn. Darlene and Karen are amazing. They made sure I had everything that I needed and everything was the way that I wanted it to be. The attention to detail the knowledge they both possessed put me at ease during such a stressful time. My pestering questions were answered with complete professionalism and they made me feel like true royalty. The food and the service is out of this world. Kate, our florist took my vision to a whole new level and provided outstanding service and the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen for both myself and my entire party. The cake was exactly how I thought it was going to be and the flavors were just phenomenal. Every detail, every aspect, and the whole evening was truly magical. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Delicious food and an upscale, yet cozy atmosphere. The prices are high but the meal is worth it! Service is attentive and willing to assist with dietary questions and concerns.

Went for Sunday brunch buffet. The service is wonderful and it's great for an occasion, but it didn't feel quite worth the cost. I think if you really love breakfast food, this would be great, however. They had an eggs Benedict station in addition to the usual omelette bar, as well as a cold line. I think small touches would have improved the experience (better food labeling, a toasted bagel option, maybe a complimentary mimosa or other brunch staple). I'm a little spoiled as Southern California has some pretty lavish breakfast buffets for less (or that simply provide more), but even for the area I'm not sure if I would prioritize this location over a standard diner unless it was a very special occasion.

I rarely give 5 star reviews, and they sure do deserve 5 stars. This was the best Dinner I ever had in my life. The Prime Rib was unbelievable. The service was very good. Very, very expensive, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend dinning here for a special event.

I come to this excellent place often as I like the special atmosphere that is outline this place. The team is exceptionally attentive and professional. The service is absolutely rapid. Most important, the food they prepare is great. I frequent many times and I was always delighted. The rate is modest. I highly suggest this place to to all.

Very beautiful, Staff were friendly and could easily be found for every need. The food was plated nicely and many reported it was delicious. I'm vegan and was happy to have a delicious commodation as well. Plenty of parking, clean vibrant surroundings, easy to get to and great staff.

I've been eating at William Penn Inn for many years. The food is always excellent. Only restaurant that I order snapper soup. It's fantastic. The service is top notch. The desserts are great. They also have a very good lunch menu. Was recently there for a bday. Always a perfect dining experience.

Superbly maintained historic inn as restaurant. Service is usually good, depending on the number of guests. The entrees are carefully prepared. Prices at high end, but their menu reads like a chef's gourmet romance. Don't go there if all you want is a salad. They do dinners for business group presentations, the food is still well prepared without the individual attention that regular guests enjoy, such as making sure that later arrivals have adequate beverages that were offered to early seated guests.

Food is great. Just minor snaffus like a bone in the flounder, waited a while for bread and very tart strawberry in the salad as well as no welcoming directions for a company Christmas lunch. But the rest of food and experience was good.

Amazing! The food and the service were excellent and top notch. It is also a beautiful restaurant which is beautifully decorated for the holidays. I was thrilled to see that they had tried to retain the historic charm. It was absolutely delightful. Can't wait to go back.

Have been patronizing the Inn for many years. Have never had a bad meal. Food is very good and the service is excellent. My family's restaurant of choice for special occasions.

My wife and I decided to come here for our anniversary and enjoyed every minute of it. The dining room was beautiful and comfortable. The food was fantastic and everything came out in perfect time. Our server was Adam, he was very professional and took great care of us. His visits to our table were not too frequent or too little. We will most definitely be back. I highly recommend making a visit here for a nice evening out. You won't regret it.

Absolutely one of the best and longest running American Colonial theme restaurants in the Philadelphia area. The service and quality of food are the best. We eat there about once a year now. In the past, when I worked for a large firm in the area that had a membership to the Commonwealth Club, upstairs, we often took important guests and clients there for lunch or dinner. The service has remained at a constant high level for as long as I can remember.

The server was outstanding. The food was good. A party of 16 is a tough job to handle but the facility and the staff did a great job. We may have started a new tradition of going here every year now. Thank you so much.

I had surf and turf,my fillet seemed like it was a sirlion that was cooked in the microwave! Service and staff were great,probably why I didn't complain then.The bill was 200$ one should expect better

I have eaten here a zillion times and loved every meal! This is my favorite historical restaurant. My husband loves it as much as I do; we even had our wedding ceremony and reception here. This restaurant is exceptional in every way. Such ambiance in every room makes each dining experience extra enjoyable. The wait staff is extremely well trained, always courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The menu offers enough variety for everyone to find tempting dishes but it is not so large as to be overwhelming. The food is reasonably priced for such a fine restaurant. We enjoy taking friends and relatives here for lunch or dinner. The Inn also offers a lovely buffet on Thursdays.

We had dinner here on Saturday with friends of my husband's from college. The food was amazing & our waiter Adam was wonderful with the service he provided for us. He came over several times to ask if everything was good. We had such a wonderful time. I would certainly recommend this place for a wonderful dinner & service.

The 8 of us had a wonderful evening in a private room and the service and food was the best. I had the lobster, shrimp, and scallops served over pappardelle pasta with lobster sauce. Delicious and the Christmas decorations are outstanding. It makes you feel like you are in a fairy book setting.

Worked with Allison from banquet services for an early family Thanksgiving. Location-the Hunt Room for an intimate family dining experience. Delicious Granny Apple salad with candied walnuts, sliced strawberries and goat cheese with field greens. Choice of three entrees. Chicken piccata, petite fillets with wild mushrooms and lobster topped haddock. Recommend duo cheesecake. Pleasure to work with Allison. Wonderful family memories

Just finished my first to go meal ever from WPI. Absolutely delicious. We are all in a time of the unknown with the virus. However, Wpi is and has always been delicious and consistent. Greeted today by Ed, smiling as always. Can't wait until things go back to normal. In the meantime, take out is a great option. Until the next time, thanks for dinner.

My wife's holiday party was held there this past week. Food was pretty good, service was fine, and everything was kept very clean. Since we didn't pay for the meal I don't know how to compare quality vs. Price.

Great food and service. Sunday Brunch has a decent selection of foods and dessert, all of which are very good. During the holidays it is very nicely decorated.

Went for Valentine's Day. The spread was a buffet which was well kept and everything was quite good. The only thing lacking was the drink service. Everytime we ordered a drink even just an Apple Juice it took forever to come. We would have ordered more drinks but it took the whole meal to have 2 drinks come...

Went for the steak and seafood buffet. Food was very good but server was not great. She did absolutely the minimum service. Did not show us dessert selection of specials saw another table's server showing it to them after we had ordered off a standard menu. Didn't offer coffee had to ask for it. Twice. Didn't ask or explain their rewards program again saw another server explaining it to a nearby table. Seemed annoyed when we asked about it. But the food was very good with a nice selection. But "steak" is metered out by paper thin slices by the server ......2 slices at a time. If you ask for more he acts like it's coming out of his paycheck. Same with the crab legs. 1 piece at a time. So you spend a lot of time walking back and forth to the buffet table. But well worth the cost and a beautiful restaurant.

This place is outstanding. THE STAFF (front of the house) is knowledgeable with menus and possible selections not on the current menu & willing to check with chef to prepare same from older menus. The (back of the house) has produced quality food & beverage since I was a kid when my parents took me there. I now live in Texas and when I visit, going to the William Penn Inn is on my to do list. It is a restaurant that still cares about how quality food is prepared and served down to the fresh baked dinner rolls and sweet bread. They have a cranberry & walnut sweet bread that is killer- so don't park too close to the door so you can walk it off.

We were able to take advantage of your Anniversary offer. What a great offer. My wife, Anne, and I had lunch today and everything was fantastic. The roses were lovely and the food was outstanding. Our waitstaff, Sandra, was very pleasant and did a great job in making us feel welcome. The Hostess welcomed us with a smile and was also very pleasant. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

Food is good. They can handle large groups. The crowd is mostly a much older group (60 & 70+). Enjoys a long history and reputation. Pretty pricey.

I have been here on holidays, lunch and dinner. Always great service and tasty food. I had the crab cakes for lunch and the short rib for dinner. Looking forward to more holidays here too.

My sister had her wedding here and my family has been using this location for weddings for ages. It is so nice and the food is always spectacular. I enjoyed the mashed potato bar too much! This place is a great venue and and has an upscale brunch option available too. I highly recommend.

It's clear they've been doing this for a very long time. Everything was perfect. From the meal to the service. Relaxed atmosphere but still felt like high dining. Not an easy balance to achieve but it has been perfected here. The meal was superb. Only good things to say about the experience!

Came to dinner here for a rehearsal the night before our friend's wedding. The staff was very helpful, directing us to our party and taking our coats. The restaurant was very well decorated for both the season and the historic aspects of WPI, had a soothing ambiance, and made for really nice evening. The food was well prepared (I had chicken Marsala and cheesecake). The staff was courteous and helpful, keeping water and wine full. Would definitely recommend and come back in the future.

William Penn Inn is one of my favorite restaurants because of their consistency when it comes to an incredible dining experience. Their specials for Valentine's Day, in addition to their full regular menu were phenomenal! We enjoyed fantastic appetizers. Our entrees we're so delicious that we looked forward to enjoying our leftovers the next evening! The desserts were decadent! The service was first rate! My only regret is not getting back to this restaurant more often.

My husband's boss took us here for a holiday brunch. Atmosphere was very cozy, staff was professional, cheerful and helpful, and food was delicious! My new favorite!

The food is perfect. The service is perfect. I am disabled and they are wonderful at accommodating my needs. We celebrate every notable occasion here, and sometimes we go to the amazing Sunday brunch for the heck of it! It's all so good.

Historic building where waite staff in formal attire serves excellent culinary delights in either the beautiful Monet Dining Room or in the Tavern. Seafood buffet on Thursday nights and Sunday brunch buffets are special offerings not to be missed. Full bar service is available throughout the establishment. Difficult to find an eating establishment that surpasses William Penn Inn.

Fine American Continental dining done right in a historic setting that's had been around for over 300 years. The filets have always been exactly to order, and seafood perfectly cooked every time we've been there in the past 18 years.

Amazing as always! This is our go to spot for special occasions and date night. The food is the best, staff is always pleasant and we love the atmosphere! My husband and I have been going to William Penn Inn for 15+ years and not once have we had anything but a wonderful experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Just went back to have dinner with friends after not having been there for years. It hasn't changed - still beautiful, still high class fabulous food. I had seafood risotto and the shrimp and scallops were huge. Everything was perfectly prepared. A lovely evening.

Thursday night seafood buffet was awesome. Cold bar and hot bar. Raw oysters and peppered mackerel perfect. Hot bar had crab legs, sliced flank steak, sole, shrimp, pasta. Fantastic. Highly recommend going!

Forst time here for a wedding. They did a fantastic job and everything was awesome. Service was on point .

Had a luncheon for a colleague. Food was good Had the crab cakes which were good, veggies were crisp not soggy. over all a good meal would go be a return customer.

Went here for a wedding, nice venue, good service and apps. Prime rib was was overcooked, that is really the only complaint I have. Kudos to Amanda for being such an excellent server on her birthday.
